From 2014 to early 2017, VRFM existed as a local FM station in the city center of Montpellier.
The project started as an mere extension to Radio Mulot (Nantes), conceived by Julien Mérieau. It emitted on a found frequency at a power of approximately 80 watts using custom PLL stereo encoders. It became a platform for broadcasting live performance, avant-garde music and intriguing audio flux from every day life.
Ongoing mixes, broadcast archives and live shows forming a growing collection of experimental, ambient and noise-related material aired on the airwaves.
